With taking a picture of one of their trucks, I decided to make some sketches of different ways to do the new logo. I wanted to think back to when we started the icons, taking several pictures and roughly sketching out the object. The options they liked the most out of the sketches were the more detailed and representative of the Kenworth truck since that is the type of truck they usually use.

I liked this idea- however it looks like an oil spill, so probably not the best option. I want to go back in with the pen tool and add some rocks and try and make into red Scoria rock.

Here are some mocks of the choices they liked. The next step is to make different mocks of t-shirts, hats and how they will read. I also want to incorporate a red outline of the type arrangement and truck to pull the two together.

monogram/type arrangements

So I am making a new logo/ monogram for a soft water disposal company in North Dakota. The objective is to make a new updated logo, while also referencing the original one. Please give me any feedback on any tips, or problems you may see. I hope you enjoy!

After pitching some of the different typefaces. We decided that Bradley Hand Bold would be the best option. Although it might not be the most attractive typeface out there, it is appropriate to the subject matter. Having the rough edges and more "hand writing" notion is what made us agree it would be the best option.

Linear progression

Through the whole process of the icon exhibit I had a lot of fun. It was really interesting to look at relay verse anchoring. By creating patterns it helped the notion of a phobia (being in surrounded by ones fears). Within this last project I really tried to grasp the idea with associating typography and imagery. It was an exciting process to take the icons I had made for bug hunting and turning that concept into an exhibit based around using the icons as a metaphor for fear. This project helped me to think in a cohesive way as well as making variety within the exhibition.

Re-Do Book Covers

Here are the new and improved book covers. I started from scratch to create new book covers, and taking advise from critics to improve.

There are still some problematic areas within typography, and the image in backyard bugs.

Image 6 Degrees- Finalized

This is the finalized poster. Even though the type set up is cohesive within the whole series, I still am having a problem with it displayed on the poster. I think that making the text interact with the carbon molecules would make this piece stronger.

Our approach was to show different "scenic views" of the world that are being effected by global warming, and to preserve them.

The DVD Cover: taking advantage of the back of the dvd we decided it would be appropriate to use ice bergs since it did not fit into our "ideal scene"

- The actual dvd was to imply trees holding in their carbon dioxide. However, to add that concept on top of the scenes already created seemed like it was going into a different concept. Using imagery from the poster/dvd cover would have been a better choice

Here is a screen shot of the finalized scene. I wanted to incorporate all the layers/ images that were used to make the ideal scene.

From the other three image making projects I have learned practiced (not perfected) image plus text, using index/ symbols to convey meaning, and how to use multiple images into one composition. Within the last project I used all of these concepts to create this ideal scene.

Here are some of the analog marks we tried to make to make the carbon molecules. In the future I would like to go back to this and try and make the analog marks work with the poster.
